Trackers

Montara is near the site of the first ‘Gold Rush’.  There are many myths and legends in these parts about the stash of gold buried by the Cherokee Indians prior to their deportation to Oklahoma.  Trackers is a hunt for the Cherokee Gold and kidnapped chiefs’ daughters, who the outlaws believe know where the gold is hidden.  The girls leave gold and clues and the outlaws leave obstacles to slow the Trackers down.

*Teams are set up for a three hour trek, sometimes in competition, sometimes in cooperative efforts to find the girls and the gold.  Combines problem solving and challenges with low to moderate physical fitness needed. Issues of communication, conflict, process and priority, and consensus and teamwork are explored in the activities. Full facilitation and debriefing is included.
